Building Repairman C (MPP-MW)
-Performs mixed duties in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting and glazing, gardening and masonry and concrete for maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities:
-Carpentry duties may include repair of crates and pallets; install insulation for walls and ceilings; replace suspended ceiling tile; weather stripping and caulking and tool cleanup.-Plumbing duties may include installation of plumbing repair kits; preparation of copper joints; unclogging sink drains and sewer lines; and installing pipe insulation.-Electrical duties may include installation/modification/repair of electrical fixtures; repair/replace electrical motors, fans, blowers, etc.-Painting and glazing duties may include cutting stencils, caulking; preparing surfaces by washing, sanding, wire brushing or scraping; and filling holes and cracks using plaster, spackle, caulking, etc.-Masonry and concrete duties may include stripping forms, mix, place and screed concrete for patchwork and repair. Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of Job Elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
