Grants Management Specialist (MPP-LRT)

Plans and coordinates all phases of development, preparation, coordination, award, and post-award administration of financial assistance instruments.
Assists management in the development and implementation of local financial assistance and P.
L.
93-638 policy and processes due to changes in statutes, regulations and department and/or bureau policies or procedures.
Assigns appropriate Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistances (CFDA) number to postings on Grants.
gov and to award documents.
Maintains continuing surveillance and oversight of financial assistance and P.
L.
93-638 instruments assigned through coordination with program staff and recipients.
Reviews recipient narrative and expenditure reports, and technical representative reports for accuracy and compliance to the terms and conditions of the award.
GS-12 level:
In order to qualify for the GS-12 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in Federal service.
Specialized Experience for the GS-12:
Defined as experience a Grants Management Specialist or Grants Officer, writing or administering financial assistance Agreements including pre-award, contract administration, post award and cost analysis.
Must show experience handling financial assistance agreements that are in varying stages of development, most of which are complex and are of long duration.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.
g.
, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.
g.
, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
