Public Affairs Specialist (Web) (MPP-LRT)

At the full performance level, the incumbent:
Manages website development, maintenance, and communication for the Region. Plans, designs, programs, tests, implements, and maintains external websites to optimize communication with customers. Writes and edits content for web pages and other materials (i.e., issue papers, fact sheets, etc.) for online posting. Evaluates new and emerging web technologies, methods, and approaches to improve the quality and effectiveness of existing web-based communication efforts. Develops guidelines and protocols for use of social media in local and Region-wide outreach efforts. Ensures compliance with Reclamation policies related to website authorizations, content reviews, and visual identity. Collects website metrics and prepares reports and records of work focused on website effectiveness and improvement. Ensures compliance with Section 508 Accessibility, Privacy and Electronic Freedom of Information Act, and other relevant rules, regulations and statues. GS-09:
In order to qualify for the GS-09 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in Federal service; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. Specialized Experience for GS-09:
Defined as experience assisting with website development, web and graphic design, and authoring and editing programs (e.g., Dreamweaver, Drupal, Adobe Photoshop). Experience in utilizing various social media sites; including, but not limited to, (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn) and gathering and evaluating the appropriateness of information communicated through social media. GS-11:
In order to qualify for the GS-11 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in Federal service; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR LL.M., if related. Specialized Experience for GS-11:
Defined as knowledge of website development, web and graphic design, and authoring and editing programs (e.g., Dreamweaver, Drupal, Adobe Photoshop). Experience should include utilizing various social media sites; including, but not limited to, (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn). Improving communication with the public through websites and online tools, and developing strategies for multi-media and social media platforms. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly reflect the experience/education listed above. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
