Concessions Management Specialist

Lead, manage, administer the concession contract prospectus development opportunities for five category I expired concession contracts. Provides technical assistance to the Commercial Services Staff, Region and Washington Commercial services staff and contractors in the areas commercial services for completed prospectus development opportunities. Conducts or manages the review of facilities and services to assure the public is receiving the highest level of visitor services. This includes the review and inspection of the concessioner's facilities in accordance with the NPS evaluation program in order to evaluate and document their performance based upon contractual requirements and industry standards. Provides administrative and facilitation for potential special projects, legislation, and/or other congressional needs for commercial services to NPS visitors. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 grade level, you must possess the following specialized experience by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience for this position includes:
analyzing the financial and management operations of commercial, industrial, municipal, housing, and/or other corporate organizations to evaluate their financial condition; examining pertinent financial statements, accounting records, operating reports, and similar material; comparing the past, present and future financial and operating condition of an organization; identifying and evaluating all elements which affect the financial soundness, condition and/or capability of a corporation including such factors as engineering feasibility, economic soundness, legal authority or basis, and economic developmental value; identifying such deficiencies as are pertinent to the purpose of the financial evaluation as omissions of financial or operational information which create a distortion of the corporation's financial condition, faulty financial or operating structures, costly financing practices, financing plans of less than maximum effectiveness, etc.; performing related financial analysis and evaluation work involving corporate finance and the specialized field of finance related to the hospitality industry. Experience:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months/years, hours per week worked and salary to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
