Water Resources Data Analyst (MPP-LRT)

Gathers and analyzes data to support the development of various models requiring mathematical or statistical analysis. Performs systems analysis in order to specify, predict, and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems. Formulates, recommends and directs new initiatives regarding decision support systems. Performs a variety of technical work in support of the efforts of engineers working on simulation modeling studies, river operations management, and policy of the lower Colorado River. Data is collected from published and unpublished sources, and hydrologic databases. Data acquisition is through the BOR Water Management System (WMIS), written sources, and the World-Wide-Web. Stays abreast of current state-of-art techniques in the area of real-time data collection as needed to support river and reservoir operations and forecasting functions. GS-12:
In order to qualify for the GS-12 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in Federal service. Specialized Experience for GS-12:
defined as experience developing hydrologic database processing applications, briefing leadership, and leading special project teams. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
