Information Technology Program Manager

Manage technology resources to ensure customers are satisfied with data requirements and technical support. Develops and tracks service metrics to ensure continual improvement in customer satisfaction. Participates in regional and national technology teams made up of IT Specialists from several states and regions, for the purpose of developing regional and national standards in specialized areas. Analyzes information needs of customers; assesses the ability of existing information systems to meet those needs and develops recommendations to improve delivery of data, voice, and video. Analyzes network and telecommunication infrastructures and capacity needs, establishing governing bodies to review existing needs and planning strategies to meet future needs. Manages and ensures IT security requirements are met. Apply audit and evaluation techniques and concepts of total cost of ownership to review systems for effectiveness and efficiency at all lifecycle stages, compliance with standards and procedures, performance according to specifications, and certification of the adequacy of security safeguards. Envisions and leads alignment of technology with the business requirements of the organization. Provides guidance and advice to management on the best alignment strategies. Communicates and coordinates national and regional technology initiatives, major technology projects, and customer support needs. Manages strategic technology plans, ensuring high visibility issues are clearly communicated to management and local staff and addressed immediately. Collaborates with facility project managers to ensure technology components are incorporated and well planned. Identify strategic objectives and technical issues to ensure technology projects support the Park's overall mission and partnership initiatives. Develops project statements, project timelines, statements of work, and cost estimates to seek external funding. Executes the project, and manages projects within scope and budget. Assigns work based on priorities and employee technical capabilities. Provides advice, counsel, and instruction to staff on work and administrative matters. Effects minor disciplinary measures and recommends action in more serious situations. Identifies developmental and training needs of staff. Develops performance plans/standards, providing mentoring and feedback on a regular basis. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Specialized experience is performing installation, troubleshooting, and repairing of computer hardware and resolving software application configuration errors. To be creditable, experience must include multiple tasks, changing priorities, and documenting solutions. Candidate must have knowledge of DOI and NPS IT Security Policies and current initiatives. Candidates should document their experience working with the Contracting Office to prepare specifications and justifications for technology equipment and/or technology services, as well as experience with technology micro-purchasing. Candidate should have experience with Certification and Accreditation, Risk Analysis, System Security Planning, and Continuing Operation Planning. Candidate should be prepared to provide IT strategies and plans to the Management Team as needed. Candidates must document their experience providing technical advice and guidance, as well as courteous customer service to managers, supervisors, and employees face to face and over the phone. Experience:

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months/years, hours per week worked and salary to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
