Program Support Assistant (MPP-LRT)

Advises Chief and Deputy Chief of important matters arising during their absences and brings to their attention significant items in reports, files, and correspondence. Responds to inquiries on behalf of the Chief and/or Deputy Chief regarding such matters as appointment confirmation, dates and arrangements for visiting groups, meetings, tours conferences, etc. Provides accurate and timely advice and guidance on procedures, reports, requirements, and other matters necessary to implement the Office's policies, directives, and instructions. Serves as the initial point of contact for correspondence to be signed by the Chief and/or Deputy Chief of BCOO. Responsible for ensuring the appropriate style, tone, and format on outgoing correspondence and conformance with the Plain Language regulations. Serves as a subject matter expert to BCOO administrative support staff and authors in providing guidance regarding correspondence procedures and practices. Plans and schedules travel for the BCOO Chief and/or Deputy Chief to include complicated itineraries and overseas travel. Maintains the BCOO Chief's and/or Deputy Chief's calendar, scheduling appointments and conferences without prior approval, and seeing that the Chief and/or Deputy Chief is fully briefed on the matters to be considered before the scheduled meeting. Maintains time and attendance for BCOO Chief's staff, including creating Key/WOIDs and provides training as required/requested to others in time and attendance functions. GS-07:
In order to qualify for the GS-07 grade level, your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in Federal service. Specialized experience for GS-07:
Defined as experience performing as the principal assistant to a management level official or comparably positioned person performing a wide variety of administrative and analytical support functions which require independent decision-making. Such experience must be significant, non-routine, and in the secretarial, program support or office automation field. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly reflect the experience/education listed above. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
