Our Parks and Destinations group specializes in serving consumers; recreational and entertainment needs in national and state parks, zoos, aquariums, science centers, museums and other day-use cultural attractions.

Position
Summary:
Shift supervisors are responsible for the execution of daily cruises and special events, overseeing and participating in food preparation, and assisting in the management, scheduling, and hiring of employees. This position also ensures that all health and safety regulations are adhered to and that all customers receive the best possible service in a fun, friendly, and safe environment. This is a hands-on supervisory position; shift supervisors are expected to actively participate in cruise preparation and execution. Position requires current health card, alcohol awareness training card, and work card. A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card may also be required.
Essential Functions:
Assist General Manager in the execution of daily and special cruises
Control labor costs by scheduling and managing daily staffing levels as needed while driving productivity from all staff
Maintain control of F&B costs, supply costs and inventory by adhering to all standards of operation including par levels, ordering procedures and portion control
Audit service and quality on a regular basis
Adhere to all standards and established tracking procedures on a daily basis
Develops and implements strategies to achieve customer satisfaction goals
Provides staff with service training to ensure customer service goals are met
Holds or participates in regular meetings to review goals and communicate needed information
Monitors teamwork and service on a regular basis
Reviews daily sales and submits proper reports to accounting department
Assists with new sales strategies and programs to generate revenue including cross selling other departments
Manages day to day employee issues in a professional manner while adhering to all ARAMARK policies and procedures
Support and implement training programs that develop skills to better service guests, build repeat business, grow revenues and improve morale
Assists in employee performance reviews and manages interim performance issues
Monitor to ensure that all staff are properly following ARAMARK time and attendance procedures
Be aware of any scheduled OT and help to eliminate through proper labor management practices
Ensure all staff adhere to safety policies for all cruise operations and food handling
Monitor and sign off on all daily, weekly, and monthly side work
Make sure maintenance chief is aware off all maintenance issues
Status and Scope:
This position reports to the General Manager. Must be able to work with a diverse workforce and apply all policy and procedures to this population.
Qualifications:
Must have supervisory experience
F&B experience preferred
Current Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Training Card or ability to obtain
Current Alcohol Awareness Training Card or ability to obtain
Current non-gaming Clark County Work Card or ability to obtain
This position is subject to pre-employment, random, and post-accident/reasonable suspicion drug testing compliant with Coast Guard regulations

Lifting Requirements:
